Maharaja is a Sanskrit title for a “great ruler” or “great king”. The presence of Maharajas in Bay County, Florida dates back to November of 1977 when owner Manu Samtani opened his first clothing and jewelry boutique in Bahama Plaza located on Panama City Beach.

In October of 1995, Hurricane Opal came ashore flooding Panama City Beach causing the Samtani family to relocate Maharaja’s to Panama City in the 23rd street shopping center until 1999 when we moved to our current location in the Coronado Village.

Moving into present time, Maharajas still remains in the Coronado Village and the Samtani family still owns and operates Panama City’s premier jewelry store winning numerous local awards over the years such as best Jewelry/Fine Jewelry Store in the Best of Bay 2020.

In 2017, Mohit Samtani joined Maharaja’s as a second-generation owner and is currently following his father’s footsteps in continuing the legacy of Maharajas. Over the years, many things have changed but one thing remains constant, our commitment to providing customers with honesty & integrity along with a one-of-a-kind experience when it comes to purchasing fine jewelry, servicing your existing jewelry, or custom designing your own personal piece of jewelry.

If one of our suppliers was unable to produce documentation certifying compliance with the Kimberley Process, we would immediately cease doing business with that supplier.
